Koosman is the first of the retirees whose number was reissued after he stopped using it. Quite an illustrious list: Wayne Twitchell Mark Bomback Danny Boitano Ed Lynch Manny Hernandez Dave Liddell Kevin Baez Tony Castillo Kevin Baez Tito Navarro Mike Birkbeck Don Florence Greg McMichael Jeff Tam Grant Roberts Manny Aybar Henry Owens Kelly Stinnett Chip Ambres Willie Collazo Darren O'Day Ken Takahashi Manny Acosta Dale Thayer Collin McHugh Juan Centeno Sean Gilmartin Mickey Callaway

I voted. A bullet ballot for David Wright. I'd be okay with Keith, but would vote No on all of the others. I'm surprised that Todd Hundley is on the list, and even more surprised that he's received a vote.

This is very strange. Wright should be next. As much as I like Jerry Koosman, I don't agree with this decision.

=G-Fafif post_id=22687 time=1569344279 user_id=55] (There seems to be a cut-and-paste issue wherein the July relievers are listed under August, and the August relievers are listed under bench players.)

Sorry! I've been busy with other things! I have a couple of new baseball cards to create and I haven't had the chance to do so yet. To compensate you for the inconvenience, you'll get a 10 Euro gift card that can be used for any purchase at the CPF Gift Shop in Stockholm.

They might QO Wheeler to get one more year out of him.

My mind keeps going back to the thought that the Mets would be in much better shape right now if they had just won one of the three games against the Cubs at Citi Field a couple of weeks ago.

I don't remember! Probably from a 1950s pulp magazine cover. They're the source for a number of these.

The only real "must win" games are the ones where you face elimination if you lose. The games the Mets are playing now are more like "it-would-be-really-advantageous-to-win" games.

Not necessarily. It could fail to come true much sooner than that.

Baseball Prospectus has the Mets at about 5% to get one of the wild card spots. And 0% to win the World Series.

So is he an absolute shoo-in for Rookie of the Year, or is there some other candidate out there that I'm not aware of who has a decent shot?
