I sent this to Baseball Reference. I suppose I should try writing to the Elias Sports Bureau? Do you know what is the final resolution of the Mets/Marlins game of September 28, 2023? The Mets led 1-0 after 8 innings. The Marlins scored two in the top of the 9th, but then the game was halted by rain. According to the rules, as I understand them, the two runs that Miami scored get canceled because the Mets never had a chance to bat in that inning. Since the game was never resumed, it would be a Mets win. But it has remained in a "suspended state", with the standings showing both teams having played 161 games. Neither team got a win or a loss. Could it be a 2-1 tie, as illogical as that sounds? It seems that MLB hasn't made any kind of decision regarding this game. Have you heard anything? Thank you!
