The sober way to look at it would be to treat it as just two bad outings and not let it affect your view of him if he's a guy you're interested in for the future. But we certainly saw the opposite effect back
when Beltran was with Houston his first time around and jacked his price up with post-season heroics, and even Boston seemed to ignore their long running Sabermetric tendencies by buying into Pablo
Sandoval's clutchness ability (and boy did they buy into it!!)
