Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Never been there.Plus free beer would need to be pee'd and then I'd lose my spot.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 d'Kong76 wrote:Never been there.Plus free beer would need to be pee'd and then I'd lose my spot. They have very little drinkable beer there anyway. Actually SRO usually get's first swipe at the bathroom since you don't have to get up at the end of the inning. And if you're really desperate (at least at Citi) the audio's piped in so if it's like 2 outs no one on and 0-2 on the batter you can hedge your bet that nothing happens and go. Anyway, did we post game stuff yet? It's Luis Severino against Ervin Santana on ESPN at 8pm.Yankee fans are sure Luis Severino is better than any Mets starter ever and will stay healthy for sure. Santana has had a strangely good season, outperforming a lot of FIP metrics. Maybe luck based, low BABIP and high LOB rate, but it's been all season so who knows.
Guest cooby Guests Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 They pipe the radio feed into the restrooms
Guest cooby Guests Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Wow ceeter and I said the same thing!
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I haven't been to YS3 and have no intentions of doing so. I'll have to go at some point just to knock it off my list, but I'm not in any rush.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Arizona also was able to flip their record from 69-93 in 2016 to 93-69 this year - and do so without actually changing a whole heck of a lot except for health and, I suppose, luck. But that's a tale for tomorrow's WC IGT

But like it's reasonable to head out to a mid-week april or may game if you can and wander around when it's mostly empty. or sept after they're eliminated.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I'm on the Hudson Line, I can take a train there! No desire.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Lol. Looking good so far
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Dare we believe in the Twins? Or is this setting us up for the mother-of-all-cockpunches later?
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 That didn't take long to suck.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Holy fuck, the first inning took almost an hour.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Went to read/play some Tom Petty songs to the kid for bedtime at 8. Figured I'd be getting in somewhere mid-game. Alas, I forgot what sort of baseball with which we were dealing here.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Byron Buxton is quite the glovely centerfielder. Robbed Frazier on a tricky catch-then-bang-the-wall job.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Less glovely, that ill-placed slider to Gardner.Twins have two-on, nobody-out stew going in the 3rd, though.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Chad Green walks the bases loaded, then goes. MFYs on pitcher three, and they're seven outs into the game.Meanwhile, Dances With Wolves, playing concurrently on another station, is approaching the halfway mark.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 I've caught up on the entire Ken Burns Vietnam in the 1st inning
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Three innings in, at 9:54 PM. Thanks anyway.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 It's just not a Yanqui game until they extend an inning with a swinging bunt. That's probably one of the few stats NOT tracked, but I suspect the Yanx lead the majors in that category by like 80% over every other team.Twins going K, K, GO, K with two runners on or with bases loaded is obviously a big deal tonight. And only Buxton's speed kept that GO from being a GiDP
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 I suppose we should start getting ready for "28 rings, baaa-beee!!!"
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 HA! Swinging bunts work both ways!!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Paul Molitor looking rrrrrough in that midgame interview, like he uses ocean water as aftershave.Hey! Swinging bunt the other way... by 30-HR guy Dozier.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 In this longer than expected.Like the Minnesota jerseys.
