bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Absolutely right FK. It's also a little unfair to the incoming pitcher who has extra time to cool down before warming up.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 I guess our reliever can whiff people too.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 For a team that acts like it created tradition, I'm pretty sure that the PC Richards whistle didn't play when Whitey Ford struck out a batter.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 If ball four hits the umpire's foot and bounces off to oblivion, shouldn't the runner be boogying to first and thinking about second?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Trying to get one inning too much maybe out of Robly.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Blevins up and available. Whenever I start thinking maybe Terry deserves another year he does something like this.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Terry fucks it up again by giving Robles a 2d inning when it was a fucking miracle that he got through one. Of course, a righty was leading off so there was no fucking way that Terry would put in Blevins and instead he puts the pitching version of the Trump presidency in and he throws a nothing pitch and MFYs have the lead.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Because 2017 can't give us one good night. Not even one. Fuck this.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 This park, too. We're going to have Reyes pinch-hitting for Smith in the ninth.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Just got here. Did any of the announcers mention that Amed Rosario tonight became the best shortstop to ever play in YS III? (or YS II for that matter).*Later* = A day without a "Fuck you, Jeter" comment is like a day without sunshine.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Leave in the garbage righty reliever because a righty is up: HRPut in the solid lefty reliever because a lefty is up: out, but take him out andPut in a mediocre righty reliever because a righty is up: HR.I cannot wait for Teufel or Geren or Lopez or literally anyone else to start managing this team.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Everyone in the stadium knew that a second inning of Robles was a bad idea.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Nice rocket, Wilmer. You know you're supposed to be taking, right?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 I mean, it helps if the umps aren't expanding the zone a half-a-foot horizontally.

Not sure who y'all wanted in there instead of Robles but Judge was up next so if it was going to be Blevins so as to turn Hicks around it likely would have been a one batter outing. Then came the lefty Gregorius, then the righty Sanchez so I'm open to hearing alternate scenarios for that inning.I'd tend to blame the fact that we essentially went hitless after the back-to-back HRs.

Start the inning with Blevins and (CENSORED!).

I like Goeddell there (1 runs allowed in last 10 outings) better than eitherYour second best lefty in Smoker?Like I said, I'm open to suggestions here.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 I have a hard time buying the blame Terry thing tonight, except the Roblesoveruse thing. Judge 1 HR and counting.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Nope, looks like no IGTs for me. I checked in a few times and I was waaaaaaaay behind. Maybe up to 5 minutes. I really don't understand how that works. I guess they have to bounce the signal off a satellite or something.Still, I'll try to get in here and at least read em afterwards.Happy birthday to Jay!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Odd fact of the game: For each of the Yanx who HR'd last night [Aaron Hicks, Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez] it was their 40th career HR
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Typical Met game. Two early solo home runs, then pfffft. Starter struggles mightily to get through 6. Bullpen gives it up.Rinse and repeat.
