Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 And that's why you build up five run leads, so you can withstand surprise grand slams.Game was never in doubt .... except for the times it was in doubt.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Wheeler pitched well, and I was okay with Terry leaving him in there to try to get out of it in the 6th. But Robles, oy. He's a real box o'chocolates, especially working his third day in a row. I was shocked to see him come out for the 7th, although it worked out in the end. It'll be good to get Familia back.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 13, 2017 Author Posted April 13, 2017 The problem is that, as long as you have this rule that this guy, this guy, and this guy are used to protect leads and ties in this, this, and this inning, success becomes your enemy, as you are challenge to use those guys more and more often. But Reed should have been brought in with the bases loaded. He gets them out of that, then it's Sewald City to close out the game.
