G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 (edited) Robert Gsellman takes on Marlins hitters. Adam Conley pitches to Mets hitters. In a sense, they will counter one another.Paul Sewald joins the Mets for the occasion. Edited April 8, 2017 by Guest

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I think that's the right call. Jose is the guy who seems to need to report to the BJ's Clubhouse. (Do they still have that?)

It's out of the sun. It's got a bathroom in the corner that's less frequented. You can't see the left field wall, but that plays in to so few plates plus as a consequence you're that much closer to home plate. Quick dash down to the CF shake shack/etc foods. Hell, when I go alone sometimes I dash up there to eat my food because it's quick and close, if you can't find a standing table that can see the action. (RF corridor by catch of the day for the standing tables, or LF corner)

The places are $$$ magnets, we can't get out of there without spending a couple of hundred dollars a trip. But boy do we have plenty of paper towels!Oh, IGT... I wish I could report that Bruce just went yard, but no. 2-sniffle, Fishsticks.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Are we gonna make this Conley guy look like the next Sandy Koufax tonight? Oy.Phils are up on the Nats 8-0 and they are not even out of the first.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Grandy, what the heck was that??Gman is getting tattoed.

Guest 41Forever Guests Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 I'm concerned about our lack of hits so far.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Smoker goes to his hat like five times per pitch.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Oh, and Lucas Duda hit a homer.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Nice of them to take Conley out of the game after just five innings. All RH relievers for the Fish from here on out remember.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Or maybe not.btw, there are NO HRs in that game in Philly, currently 13-1 Phils after five.Bottom 1st: 2B, 1B, SB, BB, SAC FLY, 1B, 1B, BB, SAC FLY, BB, BB, 3B, 1B [Pitching Change] 2B, 2B, 1B, K = 12Runs
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 This game (and series) is kinda sucking thus far.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Who'd've thought that Jay Bruce would be the one guy most responsible for keeping this team from being hitless.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 I'm surprised nobody's called Keith a chucker.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Sewald with the infinite ERAIf he gets an out here it'll plummet down to 27.00
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Noninfinite! Yay!(Sigh)
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 The Mets have 1 run (a solo HR of course) on 3 hits and 12 strike outs through 8 innings. This offense is too reliant on the HR as it has too many sluggers and far to few hitters (BA/OBP). The pitching really needs to stay (get) healthy and be dominant for this team to win consistently.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Hah, Bour's gonna owe some kangaroo $$. Don't think I've ever seen that.
