Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 11th HEAVEN for me, too.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 I went with W&W. That photo is, like, impressionism.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) 11th is arguably the game of the season. Beats Terry getting his Vitalis diluted by Budweiser. Edited January 10, 2017 by Guest
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 This poll is currently tied. Any more votes out there?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 This is the toughest. I have yet to vote. I will after some thought.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 A few more votes have come in, but the poll remains tied. There seem to still be a few voters yet to be heard from. These "undecided voters" are in a position of great power and influence! Please be sure to chime in and make your voices heard!
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 This one is closer than I thought it would be.Exit polls had Asdrubal in a landslide beating Terry 3-1. How could they be so wrong? Are people embarrassed to admit they like Wet and Wild?

Guest cooby Guests Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Well I like ke W&W because it obviously signifies a Mets celebration and thus I don't see why anybody would vote against it
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 Both covers are pretty celebratory. And the tie remains... unbroken!
Diamond Dad Old-Timey Member Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 I have to go with the game rather than the photo.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 That's what a tiebreaking vote should look like. Swoop in wearing a tux and fix the situation like Winston Wolf.
Guest cooby Guests Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 He does show a certain swagger there
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) You're...Ben Grimm right? This is your poll?Sure is.I'm Diamond Dad. I break ties. Good. We got one.So I've heard. May I come in? Edited January 12, 2017 by Guest
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 I thought that was James Bond.

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 You're thinking of Warner Wolf. Winston Wolf is out of Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction.
Guest cooby Guests Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Uh. Still think the clubhouse celebration is the better cover, but I can't fight D Dad in a tux
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 I went W&W because it's the crowning moment (as of yet) of TC's career. A Mets celebratory clinch! I like how the cover was laid out to be almost all photo and everything is all Mets.Although the Cabrera game & homer were huge, and the photo fantastic, I have to tip my cap to Mr. Collins. Now if they used the ENTIRE shot of Cabrera I might have been swayed, but probably not. Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 That back view is better. The cover makes it look like no one is there. The back view celebrates the moment for what it is.

If my info is correct (50/50 shot) that photo was taken by Kathleen Malone.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 17, 2017 Author Posted January 17, 2017 When this poll was tied at 9, I posted a plea for a tie-breaking vote. Two people came through, Diamond Dad publicly broke the tie and then someone else, some mysterious other, who could have restored the tie, instead reinforced 11th HEAVEN's lead. The Newsday cover, therefore, advances to the Elite Eight and WET & WILD will go somewhere to dry off.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 I read on forawatch that the Stockholm office wants to know why D-Dad recently visited Russia and more specifically his dealings with...
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 FWIW, I simply told him that there was a tie that needed breakin'. I did nothing to influence his vote.He was only in Russia for the blintzes.
