Someone's gotta win the Series and it won't be the Royals. Who do you think will win and in how many games?

I still can't name more than three position players on the Indians. I know, Frank Robinson's "Who's Ron Gaspar?" comment shows how something like that can come back to bite you in the tush, but still ...
Cubs in 6.

You really should know them. The middle-IF combo is on the short list for overall best in baseball (along with the Astros' and maybe the Cubs'), Jose Ramirez has broken out like a nervous teenager (think skinny Fat Panda) this year and looks poised to continue, and Santana and Napoli are VERY effective slow-pitch-players (and have been for years).

It's crazy how many key injuries THEY've overcome to be here. But the Cubs have SO many weapons, in all facets of the game. I want it to be the other way, but it isn't-- Cubs in 6.

Yeah, that's the Indians' strength. And good starting pitching, though most of it is injured. And Andrew Miller out of the bullpen. Santana, who's made a career out of being slow and on-basey, hit 34 HRs out of nowhere. And Tyler Naquin is up there with Michael Fullmer in the AL ROY conversation.

But the Indians have major holes, particularly at catcher. The corner outfielders, Coco Crisp and Lonnie Chisenhall, are meh. I'm root, root, rooting for my adopted home team, but I'm picking the Cubs in 5.

Cubs in 7. I wanna see as much baseball as possible before the book is closed on 2016. And imagine the level of hysteria between games 6 & 7.

I think the Cleveland run ends here. Too many injuries, too many holes, and not enough depth* to hang with the Cubs or even stretch it them to the max.
I voted Cubs in six and I'd quicker move that bet to five than I would on it going the full seven.

* although there's talk of getting RHP Danny Salazar back (out since Sept 9) 25-16 over 2015-16

A hunch that it goes back to Cleveland, but not to the home folks' satisfaction. 1948 becomes the new 1908.

By buddy lives in Chicago, but grew up in Ohio as a Reds fan. Sides with the White Sox in the Chicago rivalry. Lived in Cleveland a couple years while researching a book on the minor leagues, so he might be the only person in Chicago rooting for the Cubs. He's convinced they're in for one more crushing heartbreak before they finally win. Indians in 6.

Cubs in 5. I want it to go the other way, but I think the Indians might be in trouble if they're not playing with a lead in the series. A healthy Salazar might change my mind, but that might be just wishful thinking. If the Cubs are going to win, it's gotta be in Wrigley, so I say five games.

More than half of the CPF already wrong on this. And possible that nobody will take home the hardware.

Congrats to the Z-man for getting it on the nose.

Meh, you guys know whenever the Mets aren't in it I go for a 7 game series. And when have I ever gone with an A.L. team?

Next years prediction: [u:g701ulw1]N.L. team[/u:g701ulw1] in 7 games.
