it was a fist pump when he got to 2b... i didn't think it was that big of a "celebration", but he did react to his putting a good swing on a major league pitch. Too bad he later hit into a DP with bases loaded and no outs, successfully snuffing out an 8th inning rally. Still, i'm glad to see him back.

That 1-2-3 double-play was, like, the only truly hurtful outcome possible at that moment. I didn't even think about it as a possibility. What the hell.

The difference in yesterday's game was double plays. Both teams had the opportunity to shut the other down at opportune moments, and the Marlins' defense was more adept and their baserunners faster.

I did. I thought specifically about that very outcome just prior to ... well, to it out-coming.

To me he looks better...making an effort to drive the ball the other way, which has always been what Keith has been preaching.

He's not laying off everything that is out of the strikezone, but his approach is refined, IMO.
