Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 He's in a game. And he just doubled to left center and celebrated like he hit a hole-in-one.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I missed the celebration, doesn't sound like him at all.

Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 it was a fist pump when he got to 2b... i didn't think it was that big of a "celebration", but he did react to his putting a good swing on a major league pitch. Too bad he later hit into a DP with bases loaded and no outs, successfully snuffing out an 8th inning rally. Still, i'm glad to see him back.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 That 1-2-3 double-play was, like, the only truly hurtful outcome possible at that moment. I didn't even think about it as a possibility. What the hell. The difference in yesterday's game was double plays. Both teams had the opportunity to shut the other down at opportune moments, and the Marlins' defense was more adept and their baserunners faster.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Bear Claw (was it Bear Claw?) really abused Conforto in that AB.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 And he was throwing like crap up until that point. All over the place. What a letdown. A deflation. A big, greasy, wet fart of an at-bat.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 That's the spirit. One game out of the playoffs with 25 to go is hopeless.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2016 Author Posted September 4, 2016 I'm away and can't see the games. How does he look at the plate? Still fishing or more like 2015 Conforto?
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 To me he looks better...making an effort to drive the ball the other way, which has always been what Keith has been preaching. He's not laying off everything that is out of the strikezone, but his approach is refined, IMO.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Terry had nice things to say about Conforto's center field defense in the post game presser last night.Later
