Hell, I didn't think Lou Gorman should have qualified because he wasn't a uniformed Met like Herzog was at one point, or on any sort of official list of rosters that are generally kept (GMs, principal VPs/owners, etc)You want me to do even MORE work on this project!? =

stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2016 Author Posted August 20, 2016 Hints:Brewers, an now deceased OFer who may have put a curse on the Mets since his departure from the team, a Harvey's Wall Banger era pitcher and an early Brewer pitcher.Giants, you should get all three. No real hints needed. Suffice to say all three have ties to important events in Met history.Reds, briefly played and managed here.Angels, member of the 2002 team with 5 tools, and an early Angel and CY winner.Astro, original Astro and early 1970s Met.Orioles, and original Met and coach on Stengel's staff.Red Sox, an already mentioned utility infielder, and a guy with some serious issues.Royals, coached here in the 1990s.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Cardinals: Tom Herr & Jason isringhausenTwins: Johan Santana & Frank ViolaJust a questiion a quick question, because I'm not sure. I thought of Jeff Conine for the Florida (Miami) Marlins, but then saw that the Marlins weren't an option. Do the Marlins not have a franchise Hall of Fame (or whatever they call it) or is there simply no former Mets honored in there Marlins Hall of Recognition?

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Not trying to hijacck your thread (quiz) Steve, but wondering why some teams aren't included. For instance, Ralph Kiner has his number retired by the Pittsburgh Pirates and was a long time, beloved announcer for the NY Mets. Why would that not count as Mets being honored by other clubs? Of course, Ralph never suited up and played for the Mets.

So sorry Eddie Murray, Ollie Perez and Danny Frisella, you are no longer are worthy. And hey you, Dennis Cook, Al Jackson, Frank Viola, and Aaron Heilman, don't make any long terms plans.
