With the bases empty he homers twice, but with the bases loaded he hits into a double play. Gah.

We're the Mets, we only do solo HRs.

All in favor of issuing Stanton an intentional walk for every at-bat left in the series?

What?? That's treason of the highest order! That's worse than my innocent purchase of a pulled pork sandwich at the Greg Luzinski stand at Cit Bank, and I still get abused for that!!

Assuring someone of a 1.000 OBA will always be a losing proposition in the long run.
But if this becomes a one run game in the late innings ...

21 (outs) or over, that's what we want from our starters.
Nice job by deGrom who's been behind the pitch-count eight-ball since the very first inning.

It's not the OBP I'm worried about, it's the safety of the people sitting in the outfield stands. And on line at the Shake Shack. And walking in the parking lot. And driving in Glen Cove. And arriving Delta Flight 2465 from Tampa...

I'm joking, but it's conflicts like that why I shy away from fantasy sports.

I'd have liked us to have a 7 or 8 run lead but it's 2 for the Familiaman

Hey, good news. Stanton can't hit anymore than a solo homer as he leads off the 9th.
GO FAMILIA!!!!Bring it home!!!!

Wow. Familia is on such an amazing run.

Why does every team we face seem to have unlimited reviews?
This is MLB, not coffee at FRIENDLY's!!

I'm getting sick of it FK. If that call today was reversed I would have gone ballistic on baseball. The business where you lose your challenge after an unsuccessful one has to be adhered to. There could be rare exceptions by the umps to review it themselves, but if the manager tries to start the process after losing a challenge, if he opens his mouth, any possibility of review should be nullified by his actions.

Like with the kid who lost that no-hitter to a bad call on the last out. I would want the umps to be able to get that right if they mess up. And in that case, if the manager had used his challenge, I would expect the umps to take it on themselves. But this business where they will review things they had no intention of reviewing because a manager who had no challenge, challenged, has to stop.

If game length is a major concern of baseball this is detrimental to what they are trying to do.
