There was maybe a six-foot range out of the 90 feet gap between 3rd & 2nd base where Conforto's smack wouldn't have been a hit ... and he found it.

He actually looked good early on this season. Don't recall details but he made some good throws that made me feel like his elbow problems were behind him.

But with that guy on third...you gotta make that throw. He was nowhere near the plate.
