2) Injury "Prone" means someone not only has had a lot of injuries but that it's in some way an indication that he's also more likely than most to be injured again in the future. But even if the first part of that statement is true it doesn't prove that the second is also.
3) Including a guy in a deal for a CY winner is not the same as "giving up on him"

I don't think I particularly was. I was defending my position against an unreasonable critique. I apologize if it was less-than charitable.

But... "I don't see why you like him so much." What kind of statement is that? I'm a Met fan. Do I need a reason to root for the guy? Has he maliciously hurt anybody? Is there some sort of moral falling in straining his rotator cuff? What sort of hook is he on?

You've quit on Plawecki enough also. I don't know why, but you seem to be the first to quit on most everybody. I invite you, with all the friendship and kindness I have, to quit dogging all these guys and enjoy the game, despite all of its uncontrollable vicissitudes.

It's one injury, at a position where they have a pretty solid plan B. The Mets rode the storm out last year and it worked out pretty good for them.

D'Arnaud, who has been out since late April with a strained right rotator cuff, resumed baseball activities last week in Florida. The big test will be game action.
