G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 We left off at 1,007 and Tim Stauffer (sorry, Sittin' Matt Reynolds). Five brand spankin' new Mets have been tabbed for the Opening Day roster, including two -- Neil Walker and Asdrubal Cabrera -- projected to be in the lineup. By my bookkeeping, whoever is actively involved first Sunday night as a batter or fielder gets to be No. 1,008. Walker (likely batting fifth) is up in the top of the first, moot point. Mets don't get that far in top of first and Harvey throws a pitch that goes to Cabrera before one that goes to Walker, then it's the shortstop who is listed first.Or perhaps De Aza leads off and skews everything.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 no new batters, let's see how the fielding goes.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Neil Walker fields a cut-off throw from the outfield on the Hosmer RBI single.

Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Guys in the booth said he's the first 67. I applaud their apparent taste in reference books.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 So did the guy in the roster thread earlier in the day. First Seth, first Lugo, and first 67. It was a triple debut.
