Mex17 Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 No news and apparently not a sniff of interest from anyone about him.Do you think his velocity is shot permanently? I would think that he would be getting a minor league deal from someone before January is over.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Re-sign him to a minor-league deal with the stipulation that he loses that stupid beard.

But that's something that's pretty common right after Tommy John, he's a prime candidate to have a nice bounceback year this year, he's certainly a guy I'd take a 2-3 million flyer on, but it'll probably happen closer to Spring (which, granted, is like 3 weeks away)

I was thinking 1-2 million with incentives.

Hell, he might be a guy that waits until Spring, shows up to a try out somewhere and if he can pop the gun will get a few more.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Parnell can throw wild pitches that give the Nationals walk-off wins for another team. Move on.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Parnell is just a guy now. He had neck surgery and elbow surgery in consecutive seasons. Not that he couldn't make a comeback but probably not worth a guaranteed ML deal at this point.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Guaranteed major-leaguers get guaranteed major-league deals. Parnell's not that at this point, and the Mets aren't exactly lacking for tory m righty 'pen options.
