Vote for the tabloid covers that you like the best. You may select up to three choices. Voting will run for seven days.

After being shut out three games in a row, a three-run "outburst" helps the Mets beat the Orioles.

The Mets honor assassinated NYPD officer Brian Moore.

A home run by Juan Lagares helps the Mets to a win in Philadelphia.

Noah Syndergaard loses in his big league debut in Wrigley Field.

The Cubs go on to sweep the four-game series.

Mets lose to the Brewers. Dilson Herrera breaks his finger.

All three papers use "SYN CITI" to describe Syndergaard's first major league victory, a 5-1 win over Milwaukee.

I'm not sure what it is, maybe the lack of outline on the letters, but Newsday's headlines almost never look right to me. They also use that terrible wide font on the Niese page, I might have voted for that otherwise.

Bats, Juan, Syn (Post) for me this round.
How can all three papers have the same Syn Citi line without some
kind of behind-the-scenes monkey business going on?

I think the photos on Newsday's covers often look better than those on the Post covers. The Post covers can get kind of cluttered looking sometimes. I agree about the font on the QUICK FIX cover. Their TOTAL LOSS cover works a lot better, I think.

The Daily News covers are in a different category. The photos aren't as brightly colored, which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I like the narrower dimension. It looks more like a newspaper cover to me, and the fact that the dimensions are also closer to those of comic book covers is also appealing to me.

Until I started posting these polls, I hadn't realized how often "CITI" appears in Mets-related headlines. It may be as common as using SHEA in place of words that rhyme with "Shea" used to be.
