I know on a standard ground rule double the umps can award an extra base if they think the runner would advance. I guess that's not in play here.

If we fucking lose because of that�.

So the non-interference against Utley and the ground rule double rule when the runner had basically scored before the ball got to the ivy have fucked us.

I'm starting to think baseball might be a stupid sport

Also, no effort at all by Fowler to retrieve the ball. How do we know it was truly stuck and not just lying under a leaf?

It looks like Maddon is going to bring in Wood, the lefty here with Granderson and Murphy due up. If the Mets get someone on base, does he go to the pen to get a righty to pitch to Cespedes? Let's hope we find out...

Jacob's at 91 pitches thru 6 -- right about where you want to be in average pitches/per
He essentially made up all the ground from inning one.
