Familia with a 3-0 lead out to get Niese a much deserved win. LETS GO METS!

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think the main utility we'd get out of Lucas Duda would be as a defensive replacement.

It was amazin'.

Easy to overlook the game by Nieuwenhuis, but what a confidence-builder that has to be for him, lousy bunting aside.

Duda will heat up again after the break. Newy is going to be an asset from here on out.

Nice to wake up to. Well done.!

3 runs in the 9th, got to both the set-up man and the closer, other team makes more mistakes than us.
I'd say this was both well done and rare at the same time.

It was a great win, but let's not pretend that the Mets did not do a ton of things wrong in this game. Their offense was inept again. That Lagares blunder was one of the dumbest things I have seen in a while, and everyone is fucking up bunting (both calling them and executing).

On the other hand, Familia is fucking awesome. I remember sweating through 9th innings, even with a 3 run lead. Last night, I went to make a sandwich and though to myself "I can probably make it back in time to see the last out." I just barely did.

I trust Familia as much as I have any closer in some time.

I'm hoping getting Mejia back will solidify the pen. It doesn't hurt that all of our starters are capable of throwing at least 6 innings every night.

Bad baseball? Mostly, yes. But watching Cuddyer, Nieuwenhuis, Monell and Lagares all come up with clutch hits in the same inning was a sight for sore eyes.

OMG. That I've never seen. Im sure it happens, but I have never seen that. Absolutely no one there.

Here's that play from last night. People are getting on Grandy's case for sliding back in to first. That's crazy talk.
