Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 That GIDP in the 8th seems like a turning point to me. What a play!

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Was that his only play, or did he have a play at the plate as well?

I was thinking Laggy might be the one to crack Harangatang (Met #966) Too many fly balls in this park will catch up to you. And he's strong and gets on top of high pitches.Nice that he was able to get on top of that one following three sky-high flies prior to it-- but the overall problem remains that he produces far too many pop-ups and lazy flies in exchange for too few HRs.I think he's got power potential, but if the results aren't going to show it* then I'd prefer he just hit some more on the ground and start running.* 9 HRs in nearly 900 ML PAs and just 31 in over 2,500 PAs in the minors.

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 What a great looking couple. The next time MMYF says anything when I wear Mets gear with her, I show her that picture. Then tell her to put hers on, too. (I think she's a closet Mets fan, but won't give me the satisfaction of wearing it when I'm around. Shhhh. Pretend you don't know.)Later
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Thanks. And for the record, we were sitting among some very nice people who were there for a Little League outing. They kept telling us to tell everyone that Phillies fans are nice. That's not my universal impression, but the people we were with last night were very sweet (one of them snapped the above posted photo).

Get rid of the loudmouth/beer drinking frontrunners and it probably is a lot more pleasant there.
