Even winning the division series, to me, doesn't merit champagne. It's as if the NFL teams sprayed each other every week of the playoffs.

To me there are three times that a champagne shower is merited. 1. Clinch a playoff spot, 2. Win the pennant, 3. Win the WS. That's it. The rest is just gratuitous.

Dude, if they could the NFL would spray champagne after every sack. They certainly celebrate more.

I heard it, too. The guy is a YLDB, who was trying to piss off his co-host (I think he is an ex hockey player) who roots for the Mets. But the guy was so depressed, it sounded like he felt that not only the baseball season is over, but its also the end of the world.

And I enjoyed every minute of his suffering during my drive to work.
