No, not really. Internet access was spotty. I was able to see from time to time if the Mets won or lost, but I didn't do any UMDB updates nor did I do any Schaefer voting.

Voting for Monday night's win over the Rockies will close on Thursday morning, some time after 10 a.m.

Also, I've decided that Schaefer voting will continue in 2016, but in a different form. I expect that this new method, which will take place outside of this forum, will cause a further decline in participation, but will also result in a lot less effort on my part. I'll still share the results here on the CPF, but the voting will take place elsewhere. Look for further details during the coming offseason.

Yoenis Céspedes the other day became the third Mets player to score a perfect 6.0 in Schaefer voting* and the second this season. (Steven Matz earned 6 points for his June 28 start.) Prior to this season, the only previous recorded instance was Jon Niese, on August 27, 2013.

Next year there's going to be a new system, and games will generally be open for voting for a longer period of time. (I'm thinking at least two weeks.)

It all stems from my desire to be less hands on with this. I won't have to fix spelling errors, or remind people to include first initials where necessary, or prorate totals over 10 points, or manage all of these voting threads. I'll also be able to retire my magic spreadsheet. More news on this during the offseason.
