Who was the last active MLB player to have played a game at Houston's Colt Stadium? What about Forbes Field?

Identify both players in the same post to take credit for solving this quiz.

Rusty Staub.

[crossout:2tcs1oq6]Tony Perez[/crossout:2tcs1oq6]. Davey Concepcion.

OE: I thought "Perez...no Concepcion" but typed otherwise. Kind of remember the Reds being the last opponent there.

I wonder if you're misunderstanding the quiz. Let's try it this way: Among all MLB players who appeared in a game at Houston's Colt Stadium, who was the last to retire? Same for Forbes Field.

So Ryan was right for Forbes and neither Niekro ("knuckle down") nor Staub is for Colt?

Pete Rose in Houston?

I look forward to slapping my head when the answer is revealed, but for now I'm knuckling under.

Charlie Hough?

I gave out these "knuckle" clues because I had Phil Niekro (Colts Stadium) and Charlie Hough (Forbes Field) as the answers. Hough, who debuted in 1970 at Pittsburgh (his only '70 appearance at Pitt.), retired in 1994, edging out Nolan Ryan, who retired in 1993.

But here's the thing. Hough's debut was in August --- and therefore at Three Rivers Stadium. I dunno how I missed that because I knew going in, that the last game played at Forbes was at around the 1970 ASG.

This means that Edgy had the the quiz nailed all along.
