Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Poor foolish dude just shot a piece of his hand off.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 When I see "Jose Canseco shot" the word I'm expecting next is "up". And there's the word "steroids" somewhere in the story. What a doofus.Later
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Anyone who cleans a loaded gun (on purpose or accidentally) deserves what they get. He's lucky he shot himself and not some poor bystander.I guess laws are different in the desert. If he did that in mytown I'm sure he'd be charged with something.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Imagine if he shot his girlfriend and said that it was anaccident and that he was cleaning his gun. It's dumb to speculate, but I'd think he'd have a hard time convincingJ. Q. Public at this point.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I'll leave it at that, might not want to know what you mean...
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Another good guy with a gun.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 We all laughed when that ball bounced off his head and over the wall.I fear that ball may have done more damage then we knew at the time. I'm starting to feel for the poor guy.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 He's always been a really sad case, I think. That article by Pat Jordan a few years back really summed up what a pitiable figure he'd become.http://deadspin.com/372409/chasing-jose-by-pat-jordan" Jose has evolved. But it hasn't been a positive evolution. He's still as opportunistic and self-absorbed as ever. Only now, he's even more desperate."

Jordan's joke about Jose being unable to "field" offers was obvious, cheap, and tired. But he does a great job exposing the sad false front of a pseudo-celebrity, trying to generate offers by bullshitting about offers he's fielding, and then tragically falling into the slow self-destruction of believing his own bullshit.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Jose to sell finger (and firearm that removed it) oneBay sometime soon! Can't make this shit up!

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 He had a bad hand.
