Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Teufel needs to answer for that call.Wright, though... did he slide past the plate because he quit on the play or because he was deferring to his understanding of the noo rools or something?

He basically had to quit on the play.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Recker/Tejada/Nieuwenhuis in the ninth.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I'm having trouble switching to sensible mode. He blocked the plate. The rule will never work.Make the catcher wear blow-up bubble wrap thatcan be executed from the bench or the umps in Video Central.

ON A FORCE PLAY! ... WHEN HE HAD THE BALL!!!

I imagine he'll be asked that after the game. It looked to me like his priority might have been not to make any contact with the catcher. But he had his foot there in front of the plate before the ball arrived. I believe David was well within his rights to run him over.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Well. Didn't see that coming.GET HIM IN, FELLAS.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Nieuwy is magic in these late innings.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 So they just showed the MLB decision video ...he didn't totally block the plate. Can someonenot totally slide into the catcher. It's crazy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Cishek seemingly throwing harder than the last time I remember him.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 The major league way to do it here is a hit or a fly ball, but with CYoung up I'm rooting for the wild pitch.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 well, that will do it for this season.
