Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Gary, stop!! with the Jeter's last AB in Flushing!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 This is reminding me of the last game against Philly (the one we eventually pulled out in the 9th & extras)In that one Ryan Howard beat out an infield single and later scored by dodging a tag at home.Tonight, Brian McCann beats a relay throw preventing a double play then scores from 1st on a double.Something definitely going wrong when fat, slow guys are beating you with their legs.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Whenever I see Scott Rice, I think he looks like a lot David Price. They make me think of Chris and Bernard Stevens from Northern Exposure.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Nobody in your audience is commemorating this moment, Gary.

Good baseball by them, bad baseball by us. I do not like being on the shitty end of the stick.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) Jeter has four hits this series but only two of those got out of the infield (barely) and, unless I'm wrong, NONE of his outs left the IF either. Edited May 15, 2014 by Guest
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 After seeing the back/low view, perfect play/tag by Centeno.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Game tying homer coming up this inning. Who hits it? I'm taking bets.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 alright, I'm willing to put aside my pessimism for this inning. [bigpurple:atah7wvg]LgM[/bigpurple:atah7wvg]

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 oh, a doublepost. Is that good luck or bad luck?Doodoo.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Jeter can't get anything productive this time out ofa 40' squib. He battled... alert the media!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Two innings to get one run. At home. Loaded bench. How hard could this be?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Put one on the board Abreu. Show em what a vet can do.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Definitely impressed by DeGrom.Did anybody else notice that Tejada held up needlessly on DeGrom's hit? He scores if he judges that better.Murphy and Wright did not play that missed DP with any sense of urgency.Dellin Betances can pitch.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Um, guys, you don't win by striking out all the way through the lineup.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Oh boy. This is big. We need the Wright stuff.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 David's got some makin' up to do here.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 This would be a great time for our marquee high priced captain to get a timely hit.Am I right or am I right? Or am I right? Or am I right? Or am I?

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Wright with the wrong stuff. Well, now I feel we are definitely out of it, so we should come back and win in the 9th.
