Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 If nothing else this game is sailing right along (he says tempting fate)
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 After putting up 20-pitch innings through the first three, Niese has been a model of efficiency-- 31 pitches, 1 baserunner-- in the last three.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 ...and then not so much, courtesy the double play.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 What an (almost too) efficient double play.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 BEAUTIFULLY, balletically turned DP.

But he musta been working on that. Opening day he made a gem and that was directly over his head. If he no longer sucks at that type of fly, he should be playing in a little more.On that catch earlier, he was flying so fast he coulda made a shoe string, IMO. Lesser chance to get by him tho, diving to it, well above the ground. I say however he's comfortable is okay w/me but if he's still playing that deep left like last season, yea, he should move it in. 'Lil bit.(sorry 4 delay in topic-was afk)
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Need to induce the triple play here
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I missed whatever happened here too. Error by Q?Okay, I'm here for the duration.Jeeze. Good timing.3-3 Mets
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Shit on a fuckstick.Dice K walked two guys, nearly got killed on a liner by Stanton, then gave up a low liner that clanked off the side of Quinty's glove, then a big-ass double to tie the damn game. Niese should punch him in the nads.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 See, the thing about Dice-K's history? Ask a Red Sox fan-- he's got plenty of innings like this in there, too.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Don't think I'd've played the infield in here. Turns a one-run hit into two. But Murphy makes the play.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Farnie's beard gets way up there under his eyes.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Wow. Great job Farnsy. He was able to torture us AND get it done.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Great job by Farnsworth, and break out the DVR for the next time anyone complains about the defense of Travis d'Arnaud, he blocked multiple pitches in the durt including properly 'squaring up' his body on one that bounced off his chest. he also did some nice pitch framing.
