I think the key to this game is to have our starting pitcher go more than five innings, and give up fewer than seven runs.

Nope and nope.

No, never.

More to come.

I wish John Sterling was doing tonight's game so he could say "The Grandy Man CAN."
I

wish for whatever the opposite of that is.

OK, plenty of game to go, but I'm on board with swapping Matsuzaka into the rotation and Mejia into the pen for a few rotations.

But acquit yourself better with the bat, man.

Hey guys! Fun game!

Just got back from a road trip, and didn't actually see the implosion. RE: Mejia-- a bad case of the Gee third-time-through fever? Or something more?

That was pretty pathetic. It was the second inside strike, that rode into his bat, that was his undoing.

Criminy, yes.

Weird how much relative pub a guy like Machado gets, when Arenado's apparently all that and a park factor, too.

Its concerning but I don't think it's time to panic yet. Gotta give the kid a little more rope.

So, Arrenado is something of a baseball machine, isn't he?

It's a joy watching him play third, even for the other team. No joy in his batting accomplishments.

Again, gotta answer right back, starting with Danny leading off. Don't let this one get away.

All the Pachecos and Ottovinos and Tulos on this team, it's like they're the millennial sons of a fleet of Tom Waits characters.

Meanwhile, Murph takes the one that got away and drives it down Kentucky Avenue for another friggin' double.

I'm not sure I knew Arredondo's name before this series. He looks like the best thirdbaseman in the league. (Sorry, cougars.)

Ottovino is bleeding, and everyone can tell
And he curses under his breath with a dull ache in his nuts
And he rails his beat-up leather glove
Against the dugout's rear
And all the Mets, they loved it
When Ottovino was here

Sure would be a nice one to win.

Before the game I would not have said this, but with the lead we had IMO this is now a must win. If only for moral.

I mean, it'd be nice to win anyway, but sure, okay.

I'm feeling a bad vibe from Rice here. I hope that's wrong.
