Makes publicized appearance at Rangers playoff game with Kate Upton. Their heated liaison ends when he accidentally screams out a sponsor's name in bed.

Makes controversial appearance at Nickelodeon Awards with Lindsey Lohan. Their torrid affair ends when he runs out of painkillers.

Makes buzzed-bout appearance at New York nightclub Thangoria with Victoria's Secret model "Lee Swanepour." Their sweaty canoodle-fest ends when it's revealed she and the "club" are both creations of Matt's publicist, and he's been making out with his hand in a darkened office closet for, like, days.

That sounds about right.

I think by September he'll be throwing off a mound, but I don't expect him to pitch in any games. (Maybe simulated games in St. Lucie.)

But who knows? He may very well surprise us. Maybe he'll start the seventh game of the World Series.

see, this will actually be the most ridiculous/fun IPP ;-)

I think the Mets are probably out of it in September and he finished up some rehab appearances. about 8 IP, 9 Ks.

I predict he's at least broken up with Ashley Haas by the time he pitches again.

I just hope he doesn't stupid, like try to rush his rehab so he can pitch this year, and hurt his arm again.

Peace out, Matt.
See 'ya in 2015.

Gets bored with rehab, tries his hand at Connecticut summer stock in a revival of Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes. Snags a boffo review from the Times critic, then moves to Broadway to play opposite James Franco in a revival of Of Mice and Men. Critically acclaimed, Ben Brantley exclaims, "Mr. Harvey's intense portrayal of the doomed gentle giant Lennie is a revelation- a Lennie for the ages."

His Broadway career and quick marriage to Faith Prince breaks the hearts of millions, and he never looks back.

Will be a page-six story all year, doesn't throw a pitch in
the majors again until 2015.

Here's the Baseball Prospectus entry from its 2014 annual, released just before last season began:

Is there a villain in Harvey's season, somebody who should have steered him off his elbow surgery trajectory? When disaster strikes, the blame game begins, but it was difficult to see the warning signs when April and May's Best Pitcher in the World became July and August's Merely Top 5 Pitcher in the Word. Harvey hadn't quite been the leviathan he was early in the season, sure, but this is a man who struck out Miguel Cabrera on three pitches with a partially torn UCL. After a dalliance with rehab and a throwing program, Harvey opted for Tommy John surgery, which has a success rate of around 85 percent; for Harvey, "success" means a return to pitching perfection.
