Yeah, but a lot of squatting. He's only 37, so I guess he can handle it. If I were to get a job as bullpen catcher at my age (50), I'd probably have to do it sitting in a lawn chair.

That happened to me once, at Joshua Tree Park in California. The spines of the cactus went through the sole of my sneaker and also through the sides. I had to sit down and pull each one out of my foot and out of my sneaker.

I suppose that's one of the perils of training in Arizona. Better to train in Florida, where the worst thing you can step on is an alligator.
