Its bullshit and the more I hear it the more bullshitty it sounds. Olberman always does a disclaimer but they simply shouldn't go there if the guys never been in a world series. Its ridiculous. It's not working on old fans, its not helping the new fans properly appreciate the game.

2011 actually.
He didn't hit much after getting the call-up.
In fact the bench overall* might be the Cards major weakness here.

Cruz is the backup catcher so you'll see Jimmy Hoffa in a game before you see him.
Shane Robinson is said to exist but so is Nessie up there in Scotland and, in both cases, there's very little proof.
