Lotta Action in this Dodgers-Braves game already. Geez. Only the 3rd inning still.

Watching and its nice that I don't care who wins this one. Seeing Puig in the big show would be interesting, but the Pirates are gonna be the NL team. Oh yea baby, I said it. Bucs all the way. Dodgers would be second choice.

That Puig guy, he's like a wild stallion who may never be broken. He is exciting tho, cuz anytime he may do something stupid and be talented enough to get away with it. Or lucky. Can you imagine how it would have played if they picked him off going back to first on that single earlier?

There's definitely something artificial about this Dodgers group, and I disapprove of all the murders their fans have been involved with lately. I also got depressed thinking about how that franchise endured Metlike levels of embarrassment only recently, but still never finished with fewer than 80 wins and been to the playoffs twice since we last saw 'em in '06.

I really don't have much against the Braves anymore. They certainly deserve to be there and done pretty much everything the way you'd hope your team would wrt developing good players, making good trades, etc etc.

The Braves have overcome some adversity to get here and I respect em for that, but I could never root for them. In a Skankee/Braves WS I'd root for the Skanks.

I don't have much 'hat' for any NL team in the last couple
of years. If I ever root for the Yanks, put the jacket on me
and please cart me away.

Wow. That kinda breaks it open. Upton had time to be sittin up on that wall. I'd have ran real fast straight to the wall and started climbin. Id'a just sat there and caught it.

That's nice for you, Zeter.

To me, at times, the fact that they represent the city of New York will get them the nod from me. Like when they face the Braves. NY trumps.

Hey Frayed Knot, I apologize for my rude behavior and insults a couple of days ago. I deserved all those F-bombs. Have a good day.

3-3 in the fourth between Oakland and Detroit, with three lead changes already. I'm enjoying this A's-Tigers series FAR more than I ever remember enjoying any other ALDS series.

Forgot that game was happening. GO A'S. How great would an Oakland-Pittsburgh WS be?

Oh, yes. Crank the Sister Sledge and Foghat, and give me some of that super '70s action.

With the power, and the Inge-iness, and the hair/classes, I think I'm falling for Josh Donaldson, the player. (I already had for Josh Donaldson, the C-eligible fantasy commodity.)

Kind of feels like Oakland-Pittsburgh should've happened in the 1970s, but they were two ships passing in the night. The Pirates need to bring back the pillbox hats.

I'd enjoy that. No score in Cards/Bucs game in the second.

The Pirates need to start hitting (and then scoring) if the Pittsburgh/Oakland matchup is going to happen.

They are hitless in the 6th inning with St. Louis up 2-0.

Have I mentioned that St. Louis pitcher Michael Wacha is pitching a no-hitter. Because he is. A no-hitter, that is.

But not without some near fireworks in the 9th.
Oakland closer Grant Balfour was pitching to Victor Martinez with one out in the 9th when suddenly the two were walking toward each other and there were quite audible "FUCK YOU"s flying in both directions and in various accents (Balfour is Australian, Martinez Venezuelan).
Still not clear what caused it, possibly each felt the other was stepping out/off too much.
Martinez eventually flied out.

Pirates getting no-hit thru 6 by StL rookie Michael Wacha

Michael Wacha still has a no-hitter going into the bottom of the 7th. Did you hear that, a no-hitter?

Pedro Alvarez breaks the no-hitter and shutout with one swing of the bat.

2-1 Cards in the 8th.

That caught stealing was HUGE! Jeeze, the guy started sliding half way between 1st and 2nd.

Damn. Bucs lose. Get em next time guys. I'm sick of the Cardinals and their awesome team in the post season.

Not the most fast-paced game, mind you. Hard to believe this started at 6 pm.

Wow, yea. Tampa Bay pulls ahead in the 8th on a RBI ground out by D. Young. 4-3 in the 9th.
