Mets season ticket prices to remain same
By Adam Rubin | ESPNNewYork.com

NEW YORK -- The Mets have emailed their season ticket holders, telling them prices will remain the same as in 2012 and 2013.

Season ticket holders who pay in full by Sept. 27 get to take batting practice at Citi Field, along with being eligible for a family or work holiday photo at the ballpark.

Also, single-game tickets can be purchased at the season ticket price.

The Mets had the carrot last offseason of hosting the All-Star Game. Now, that does not exist. And Matt Harvey faces the prospect of missing the 2014 season due to Tommy John surgery.

Three separate west coast trips, plus a series in Colorado on another trip.

The Pirate set, 4 games in Pitt end of June, might be on my radar.

By nature of our interleague opponents (AL West) it looks like the Mets will be making 4 trips out to California:

in April for Angels/Diamondbacks (plus Braves on the trip)
in late May/early June for the Giants (preceded by stops in Philadelphia and Chicago)
in July for Padres/Mariners, plus Milwaukee on the way back
in August for Athletics/Dodgers.

The Denver trip is in May, between trips to Philadelphia and Florida.

The Mets schedule is never more exciting than when it is yet to be played. A year ago at this time, this current homestand probably piqued somebody's interest no end.

Two trips to the Bay Area works for me, a friend just left Philly to take a job out there with Apple. Maybe I'll be able to visit (And have free room and board!) AND see the Mets.
