Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Given Muffie's recent struggles, I'd like to see Satin start taking grounders at 2B. After all no one thought Murphy could play 2B in the majors either, and he's doing a passable job there on defense most nights.Or, have Young play more at 2B and make room in the OF that way for Satin.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Wheeler looking shaky in the 5th. Two outs away from putting himself in line for a win and he's loading them up. C'mon, dude, focus.

And he knows it.I don't like what I'm seeing from Wheeler at all. He should be cruisin'.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Nice work there to get the pop up and K to get out of the 5th. Good stuff.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Glad that Wheeler could navigate through 5, but whenever the Mets get into a battle of the bullpens, it's problematic.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Too many pitches from Zack tonight. But Ill tip my cap to him.Wow, nice rbi single from Buck.8-3
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Not sure that second steal was the best strategy. With Buck lately, a Sac Fly is sometimes the best you can hope for.And as I'm typing Buck smacks one up the middle.Cue Emily Lattila
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Niice quiick iinniing froom Aardsma.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Byrd robbed of a dinger there by Carlos Gomez.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Go-Go Gomez has done that a couple of times this year.Being fast and 6' 4" with Ups has its advantages.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Gary: "He looks like he's not even moving at all."
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Ill give Ike some rope. I missed the K last time up. I imagine it was borderline and he hemmed and hawed. How he took that 3-1 fastball this at bat, ill never know. He did rip one after that.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 What's that now, two Milwaukee runners cut down at 3rd and two more at home so far?Between their running and their defense, they're doing us a bunch of favors tonight.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Nice hitting by Kirkie and Lagares to get another run. Can you imagine if they hit like this in Flushing?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Kirk on fire. And Lags drives him in. Sweet.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Too early to call anybody "cured" at this point, but both Kirk & Ike are looking better since their respective returns from Vegas.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Not sure if Burke and home plate are in the same zip code.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 All these runs and only one extra base hit, Kirks double. Not complaining. Please Brewers, play this shitty all series.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 This game still has the potential to get ugly.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Shit. What a catch by Wright. That knocks Burke out.9-5
