Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I don't like the bunt. But it worked AND NO OH GOD JOHN BUCK HIT INTO A DOUBLE PLAY AND IT'S NOT EVEN HIS TURN TO BAT!

What we wanted was just that, Muffy up with a chance to win it. And he pops out.Whos available in the pen? Besides Recker.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Young grounds out. Murphy pops out. the bunt, even when it "worked", didn't accomplisg anything. except that Brown has maybe a 30-33% chance to reach base without bunting and then Wright gets to the plate. the bunt kills the chance of your best hitter having a shot this inning.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Not to make a federal case out of it or anything, but the DBacks pitchers tonight have gone from Wade (Miley) to (Chaz) Roe.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Just so you all have some advanced warning, this inning could very well involve a John Buck appearance.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Dammit, we got the leadoff guy on.Our chances of scoring just went down the drain.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 And, as always, it comes down to Buck.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) Holy hell, really? This reeks of a potential suicide bombing from enemy combatant Roe. Edited July 1, 2013 by Guest
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Well, Recker will hit, and may stay in to pitch?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Silly D'Backs-- Recker's never "cold off the bench," with a bench-sitter like that.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I think Montero briefly kicked that ball away just to see if Buck would try running.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) And Roe is System-of-a-Down for the count, though he is still on the hook for the potential loss (as his CIA questioners will no doubt remind him later tonight). Edited July 1, 2013 by Guest
