Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 (edited) I still believe this is all due to Terry trotting out Harvey for the eighth.Harvey went from having an excellent line through 7IPs to having 3 ERs through 7+IP. Doh!Terry not only sent Harvey back out after he already had accumulated 100+ pitches, he allowed Harvey to hit with 2 on and 2 out the inning before, just so he could make that questionable move, thus making it even less justifiable. Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 That looked like a Big Johnson strikeout.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Terry didn't load the bases , just to be full and frank on that issue.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Parnell tends to lose focus in the second inning of 4-out saves. Let's hope he's sharp in the 9th.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 metirish wrote:Terry didn't load the bases , just to be full and frank on that issue. No, Terry just made the decision to send out the guy who did, after the game situation had arisen where it was clearly time to pinch hit for him and Terry chose not to.Totally unforseeable, right?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Mets decide to make things MORE interesting by going out 1-2-3 on 7 pitches in their half of the 9th.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 What's up with this pitcher jumping off the rubber before he pitches? Looks very un-kosher.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Rock, meet hard place. The performance of the middle relief in the 8th would inspire any manager to keep his starter in too long.

Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 lets just hope Parnell makes the point irrelevant.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Full confidence in Bobby here!

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I can't remember Wright backing up like that before and he's done it twice today, odd.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Boooo Captain! You can't be backing up on that. Jeeze. Imagine if that was the 1st hit.Oh, I thought there were two out. Now there is.
