Rain delay theater. This is how Lunchpail went to school today. He was to present a report on David Wright.

Six runs scored in Anaheim before the first pitch in Atlanta.

Wright gets around nice on a pitch and lines a single to left.
Duda talks with his bat: " I LIKE FIRST BASE!" singles.
Byrd strands em. Yep, the Mets are playing baseball. ;)

Gary is right about Gee looking like a different person from the seasons start. A different pitcher....? gettin there.

Now thats what I like to see. Freddy Frakin Freeman leads off with a double, then Gee bears down, executes pitches, and FF is stranded at 2nd.

A leadoff double stranded? Mets Fever - CATCH IT!

I like Duda running there. Heavy track held his lead feet up, but an aggressive Duda is a gooda Duda.

The gooda Duda goes well with multigrain crackers and jalapeno jam.

Buck was safe by a whisker.

Looked like he might have just beaten it... just as Mr. Freeman continues to do to baseballs.

A Parnell whisker or an old Gee whisker?

Fuckin Freeman. Gee strands him :)

He was pretty safe. Call it a Lanny MacDonald mustache hair.

Boy, Gee jammed that Eppy Glottis guy.

Guys! discourses on Hawkins' big-league origins (he debuted in '95).

If he'd gotten a road-girlfriend pregnant that year, that child would now theoretically be able to drive.

And he still looks ten years younger than Scott Atchison.

Gee through 5, unmolested. We're through the Coca-Cola-logo-emblazoned looking glass, folks.

Dagnabbit. Byrd smokes one right at the best shortstop in the league.

Duda 3 fer 3 . And if you heard what Gary said, I think Duda taking ground balls at the position a few days ago was his way of telling Collins that was what he wanted to do. Play first.

Uggla. The correct answer was: Uggla.

That might be the weirdest pop out to second I've ever seen. Murphy ran out, stopped, looked at his watch, and then stuck his glove out and caught it.

Uggla even sucks at great plays.

Unfortunately, Chris Johnson doesn't.
