That's 750 feet worth of outs for Duda and Byrd.

Keith seems so confident about what Ike needs to do, and how this can be a positive experience for him. Who else wants to send Keith down with him?

no no, too many voices. If you want Keith, they both go out into the desert together with a bat and a bucket of balls.

I think I'm beginning to catch on to the secret of the Cards success: except for that DP ball an inning earlier, I don't think they've hit one ball AT somebody yet.
And on the other side I don't think the Mets have hit one ball hard (other than Q's) that WASN'T right at a fielder.

Horrible.

And the 6th inning begins with another grounder NOT at a fielder.
Of course this complaint rings somewhat hollow when, in the 5th, they actually hit them at our fielders but no one could field anything cleanly.

1st inning, two runs already in, bases-loaded, chance to break it open, Nieuwenhuis hits one hard up the middle where Kozma is inexplicably playing and the inning is over.
They've had three singles since.

It's all good. There'll be less revenue for eff n jeff, and if the Stems could pick up this losing pace, there might be an overall #1 draft pick next year in our future, Major League ready by the time, and here I can only hope, that the new owners are in place.

See? I can be an optimistic the glass is half full kinda guy, too.

Is Keith available for Father's Day bbq's?

Almost was the game they needed to have. Give themselves a baseline for where they are and what they have to do. Ike gone, but now it's time to look at yourselves.

Really disappointed to see Nieuwenhuis still looking like the confidence-lacking out-of-his-depth sadsack that he was the second half of last year.

I'll drink to this.

Damn, waited on BB2nite to show the highlights and they showed about 10 seconds. I guess that sounds just about right.

Well, maybe let's give him a little time to shake off the jetlag? I mean, he only struck out once after all. And he probably should've made that catch but it wasn't like it was pop fly.
