C'mon already, fellas-- let's make this trilogy less of a torch song. Some of my best friends are gay dames!

Harvey may be our only hope because it appears that some as yet unidentified persons in Cincinnati have threatened NYM batters that they'll all get their income tax status scrutinized if any actual RiSP hits come against Redleg pitchers.
So far only Marlon Byrd is on their shit-list.

"Well, just to be sure, I think I'll avoid hitting entirely. Just to be sure."

Easy to imagine Davis's big-league status not surviving today if it's another disaster. Series closer and all.

I'm rooting for him. I'm rooting for his ass to not fly out toward the dugout.

Day game before a day off before a night game. Lots of time to make moves should they need to be made.

Gary apparently not working today and we've got "Guys" doing the play by play. I've already grown weary of him.

It's not his fault that Gary and Howie set the bar so high. But still. Meh.

Murphy doubles over Bruce's head. Duda holds at third.

Duda taking a lot of pitches, including strike three. Ankiel still at third.

Not a good showing by Lucasio there.

For the fiftieth time, it seems, in the past few weeks reversing the second and third outs of an inning would have produced a run that the Mets offense did not actually produce.

Harvey strands two Reds, and it's 1-0 Metsies going to the bottom of the second

We scored a run? We have a lead? There's a starter on the mound who can pitch? '

Whats going on here?

Another double for Ankiel. Wright up with one out.

Cozart just made the best play this season by a shortstop not involving a throw. It looked like a Brooks Robinson catch at short. Full extension dive on a wicked frozen rope liner.

And Duds rips one to second. Ugh. Well, these rips I can handle. These are not stinky rips.

Harvey escapes by getting the guy he wanted to pitch to. Balls of a burglar, he has.
