Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Didn't think I could hat Molina any more than I already did.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I think that Terry Collins asked for Nelson to come in.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Another game, another 9 Ks (and counting), another day with just 4 hits (and only two were deserved).
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Speaking of fools, Ankiel could have made the Mets look like geniuses, if he made that catch and got a hit here or there. Instead, in front of a St Loo, crowd he makes us look like fools.Nice catch there tho.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 That giant midget has two hits tonight.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 But, hey-- Greg Burke's back? This terrible team just got a little more wacky!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 JCL said it weeks ago. Too many strikeouts. This "take/see more pitches" strategy. We're good at it. It's not working as intended. They should do this only with certain players. Last years team struck out ALOT. I don't like this trend.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Ends up making that drop using Niese's glove. Ouch. It's not the difference of inches --- the drop by Ankiel, the richochet off of Rice's foot, the ricochet off the bag the prior game --- it's that they're hitting poorly enough that they relay on those breaks to fall that way just to give themselves a chance.
