Glavine was not a good hitting pitcher, in fact he was one of the worst hitters in the league over the last 20-25 years or so to get a certain minimum amount of PA.

In 3 of his 4 seasons as a Met, he hit over .200 (which for a pitcher, is pretty decent)...

Mr. Keppinger will be coached, in part, by Joe McEwing, completing our troika of 2004 Mets for the evening unless I'm missing Bartolome Fortunato in the back of the ChiSox bullpen.

Plus Daryl Boston coaching first. Plus Dale Torborg as conditioning coordinator.

besides the lunch boxes and all the products that the Kiss Army brainwashed kids with...They also participated in fake Wrestling?

So Harvey has a bloody nose and its just pouring blood down into his mouth, which he spits out, and I don't know whats going on but he sure looks fuckin scary. He's pitching fine. Its like no one noticed.

Reports are just a simple scary bloody nose. That was wacky. He should always do that. He looked baaaadass.

Harvey went to the trainers room.

"Can I give you something for that nose?"

Nice ride from Buck.

This guy looks like somebody that righties could eat up. I'd start McEwing against this guy.

Mets lineup for Harvey's 7th start of 2013:

Ruben Tejada SS
Daniel Murphy 2B
David Wright 3B
John Buck C
Lucas Duda LF
Andrew Brown RF
Ike Davis 1B
Juan Lagares CF
Matt Harvey - RHP

Mets lineup for Seaver's 7th start of 2013:

Bud Harrelson SS
Al Luplow CF
Ed Charles 3B
Tommy Davis LF
Ed Kranepool 1B
Jerry Buchek 2B
Ron Swoboda RF
John Sullivan C
Tom Seaver P

Other than 3B, 2B and C, would you necessarily take anything 2013 is offering over what 1967 put out there?

If we are going back in time to get them and bring them to now, I'd go with Kranepool over Ike just to see Ed play another 20 years for the Mets.

That guy who Kevins talking to is a very good photographer. I've seen his Met stuff and he's a big fan.

Harvey at home. How could Keith be missing this game?

He can't broadcast with a loosened belt, see?

Recruit him. We need blood.

Ike missing the change by lots for strike three. Would be a good night to sit him, thinks I.

We've had enough blood for one evening. That was so bazaar.

The scrubs try to set stuff up for stuff to happen and nothing happens.

I may or may not have single-serve spot-started-- or "streamed," as it were-- Mr. Santiago in an important pretend-baseball league, with plenty of money and pride attached. If I did, I'd be very comfortable with that decision.

Considering OUR hurler's Harvulous results thus far, though, I'm a little less comfortable with the decision NOT to bring YoungerPooper to the ballpark after picking her up at daycare near Kissena Park.
