I thought the bad news was Lucas Duda batting 6th.

Duda has a .420 OBP, shouldn't he be batting leadoff or 2nd?

Wright's OBP is about the same. Why not bat Willie Stargell leadoff? (40 years ago)

or why not bat Bobby Bonds leadoff?

For the same reason you don't leadoff with Stargell or Wright or Duda (unless you have four or five Duda's or Stargell's on your team). Because then you'd be under-utilizing their slugging ... their highly-efficient ability to move runners along the bases with their bat.

This... kind of reminds me of something...

It should :) I've been stealing empty scorecards.

GREAT PLAY MUFFY! No chance at 2nd. And he didn't even consider 2nd base. He's gettin there.

Lets see Marcum get out of this. Bases juiced, 1 out for the Braves.

I really love the blue tops for away games. To me they look better w/ the NEW YORK on em.

Oh, and yea, Braves tied it.
3-3 Mets.

OO, Wrights pissed. Thought he'd get tossed there. If I know Dave (which I really dont) he was saying "You better call that pitch a strike for our pitcher too."

I know Dave (his mom and my sister-in-law did some community service together, and they still keep in touch), and that's exactly what he said.

Except for the fact that I'm pretty sure we're going to lose, this is kind of a good game.

If Schafer played for us he'd be walkin his way to the liquor store.

Damn. To much bounce on that grounder to go for two. Atl. takes the lead, 4-3.

Kool beans DJ. I'd like to think I know him. Wonder if he threw an Fbomb in there, or any cursing. I doubt it.

I'm sorry, I'm lying about knowing David Wright. I meant to make it more obvious than that. But I hear he's a hell of a nice fellow.

Marlon! Who doesn't love Marlon Byrd?

Not your fault. I'm a very gullible person.

We need some positive vibes.>>

Ugh, I hate this lefty/righty bullshit. Rice gets his guy on one out, so let's take him out of the game so Lyon can give one up.

That's a short workday for Rice.

Can't burn through your pitchers like that, TerryCo.

It' easy to say now but I agree with both of you. I would have gone w/Rice til he hit a bump.

You know, it's okay to go all LaRussa with your bullpen if you can trust everybody to do his job. But with these guys you're lucky if there's one guy who's got it going on a given night. Stick with that one guy, Terry.
