Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Greg Burke pitches like he has an equilibrium problem/is trapped on a listing schooner deck.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Michael Young may be Jeteriffic, but I don't dislike him.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 You do realize that he's doing that to you, with his blood-rite voudan intangibles, right?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 They say Burkes from right around me down here in south Jersey. I'm gonna go TP his house.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Act like you been there before, Jordany.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 It's still early. It'll be earlier if we chase this guy now.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Gary Matthews is a real disappointment as a broadcaster.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I guess that was a passed ball. I'm really impressed with what I'm seeing from Murphy so far. Esp the power. If he can swing for lift or swing for liner at will he will be another Ted Williams. Only get one run outta that? BoooEdgy MD wrote:Gary Matthews is a real disappointment as a broadcaster.I will agree with that 100%. I like the other two guys (esp back when they worked with Harry). Sarges voice is not suited for announcing of any kind. It's more suited to read fairy tales to kids before bedtime.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Yea, we gotta knock Lee outta there. Whos gonna bat for Burke?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Whoever it is, he should spin around the bat first for a more Burkelike aesthetic. On a team more laden with expectations, Valdespin would be a real BP-raiser.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Buck uses a lizard-skin grip on his bat "for extra tackiness?"Guys! does burn the figurative shoe leather in this gig of his.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Baxter, who was frozen in his boots for strike 3. At least he....just walked away. Oh yea, he knew it.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I've enjoyed this Barajian April performance by John Buck.I still don't know who anyone in this bullpen is though.

Parnell, the sidearming guy, the lefty, the other lefty, the old-looking guy, and for some reason, LaTroy Hawkins. And I think I'm forgetting someone.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Frank Frank, and the swingmen (now starters). But otherwise, you got it, Z.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 No, I'm "Sea." Not Z. And Frank Frank not technically on the team right now, so I didn't count him.

Do people actually have conversations over twitter, or do they just state stuff? Ive tweeted once, when I registered my account.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Sure they have conversations, this current one involving Cooney is quite good.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 ..or do that. Just saw the Turner DP (wasn't in front of the TV for that earlier) and that was a kinda big missed opportunity. Wanted him to shine tonight, and you know that rarely works out for a fan.Lee bats for himself in the 9th.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Gah. Well, its Cliff Lee. wHaTrYaGoNNaDo? Don't you wish you had a team where Halladay goes bad but you still have a guy like Lee? Have we ever had that? The Gooden days? Seaver/Koosman?Oh kool, they pull him with 2 out. I was already typing my gah we lost post.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Watch as [crossout:8x1iupdn]the Fox News Network[/crossout:8x1iupdn] SNY covers this story as getting mastered by Cliff Lee and not Gee crapping the bed. I think, with the exception of failing to capitalize on the threats in the 1st and 2nd, this was an OK effort vs. Lee. A decent effort from the starter makes this a game.
