Guess I'm surprised to see the Buckster squatting today. Terry told Fatcessa yesterday that Wrecker would more likely catch Gee and Hefner than the other three because those two are most capable of calling their own games.

These beat the black hats for sure, but I'm not a fan of the two color caps on the Mets. Other teams, like the O's, it looks ok. Probably cause thats the way they were when I first saw em. I suppose I could get used to these and accept em. If Gee pitches the game of his life here it could win me over on the superstitious side.

When I was a kid playing in the CYO I got one of those plastic giveaway batting helmets from helmet day. For some reason I painted the bill white. I even wore it in CYO games. Either my coach didn't notice, or didn't give a shit. I have a pic of me in the helmet and uni somewhere. Don't know why I did that. It looked like crap then and it would look like crap now.

Kids like to pimp stuff out. MLB knows this. The real scandal is a coach letting you bat with a plastic giveaway helmet, which likely provided less protection than a bare scull.
