Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Hell, if nobody started an IGT I may as well snag one when they already have a lead. 2-0 Metsies on a walk to Murphy and doubles by Wright and Duda around an RBI tapper by Ike.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 2-0 Mets, middle of the first. The last time that happened Agbayani led off with a single, then Alfonzo and Piazza hit back-to-back doubles.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Murphaboom follows a Neise bingle. 4-0 Mets.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Just tuned in and I missed a week's worth of runs. What the hell.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 The Brewers get to back, but some sketchy baserunning may have cost them a run. 4-2 Mets, end of two.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Niese continuing the past week's tradition of putting lead-off runners on in every inning. Not totally his fault though. A couple of bloops plus a Tejada error have caused much of the trouble but two GiDPs have bailed him out.

Watching the Mets this past week on TV has been like watching old people fuck.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Did Thole just get hit in the clam?
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 There are some Two-way words, like it's okay for Curt Gowdy to say 'Roberto Clemente has two balls on him.' But he can't say, 'I think he hurt his balls on that play Tony, don't you? He's holding them. He must have hurt them by God.'So, yes he did.Meanwhile, Duda goes deep (starring Marilyn Chambers). 5-2 Mets.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Is Josh Thole allowed to drive in runs? I thought that the CBA prevented this kind of malfeasance.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Thole cow! (They just write themselves, ladies and germs). Torres hustles out a single and Thole smacks one into the LF corner to extend the lead to 6-2.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Let's just keep this team on the road. And end the season after 81 games.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Thanks for playing like suckers, Brews.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Livan Hernandez induces Tejada to ground into a 5-4-WHEEEEEEEE! Weeks spikes the throw five feet short of Ishikawa and Thole scores easily. 7-2 Mets. Really.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Niese is escaping a lot of trouble tonight. It's like the Mets ain't the Mets, but the other guys is.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 It's the road greys, man.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 (edited) Good thing we double-switched when Rauch was brought in so he could just be pulled after one batter and 7 pitches. And has Parnell retired anyone during the month of September? Edited September 14, 2012 by Guest
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Parnell owes Tejada a month's worth of dinners for that one.Nice turn by Murph too.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Whaddaya know.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Massive cable outage here last night, missed it all.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 So, when nine innings are played and your team has more runs than the other team --- what is that called again?
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 So, when nine innings are played and your team has more runs than the other team --- what is that called again?Rare.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 It was a nice game last night. After about the third inning, I never really had a doubt that the Mets wouldn't pull it out, which is rare. The paid attendance was 38,000ish, but there were probably only half that actually in the stands. We had nice seats in the first row of the club level, literally right above the broadcast booth and just to the left of the cameras that catch the fielders on flyballs. It was a very wonderful view of the game. For Saturday and Sunday, my mom-in-law got me seats about 4 rows behind the plate, so I'm looking forward to those as well.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Awesome TM - Keep bringing us victories!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Yeah, and Swannie, too. Keep up the good work.
