I'm sorta bummed that I don't think I can stay up to watch this one. Dickey pitching too..

So at least it should be a quick game.

Whenever we go to San Diego, I privately hope that Bruce Springsteen isn't pitching.

Yeah, but Nettles has retired so we should be ok now.

Brian Cashman called in to say that he thinks Bydak's been over-used.

But I guess this spares Elvin the ride back to Buffalo for the time being, and Edgin for maybe even longer.

Yay, baseball! I've been watching tape delay Olympics while in real time the athletes are having orgies in their London sex-village.

Isn't the whole "No advertising on uniforms" thing extended to companies like Majestic? or no, because they're affiliated with MLB and selling these uniforms?

The maker's mark is allowed on the uniform.

It's natural to be looking more closely at a different uniform. Plus, the cold medicine.

Is this the uniform that the Padres wore in the 1980's? It seems more contemporary than the Mets 80's clunkers.

They wore it during the mid 1980s through the end of the decade.

In fact, SNY showed the crazy extra inning game in SD from 1986, and the Pads were dressed in the same uniforms they are wearing tonight.

Check batmags' thread about the Little League from earlier tonight for a sweet Padres uni history.
