Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 There's no pressure. Harvey isn't here to be a savior. He's just one man.I just wanted to be the guy to start this thread because it'll one day be a museum piece.Wade Milley starts for the Diamondbacks (who should be the ones going to the American League).

Keep me interested beyond when Harvey departs.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Never mind tomorrow night. Let's look at the big picture. Harvey isn't departing until 2029, and when he does he will be carrying with him three Cy Young awards, two World Series MVPs, team records for wins and strikeouts, and a replica of his retired number 33.Setting the bar a notch higher.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 And a lifetime .220 average with 7 home runs.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Hopefully he gets some real bats and doesn't have to use his 70s from Spring Training.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 I figure that if Harvey starts 13 games and wins all of them, the Mets will finish with a record of 60 and 102.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Darling just called out Byrdak and suggested maybe the answer was to farm out all of the bullpen. He was not laughing.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Fuck yeah, Hairston ripping a gapper against his old team to plate two.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 It's up to the thawed out corpse of Jason Bay to get a two out RBI here.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Nice hitting off this rook in the first. Expected him to give us a tough time. This is great. Got Harvey a few runs for a cushion. I like.Ha, and Hernandez says just that.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Harvey starts out with a K. Looks good, throws hard, pitches have some good movement to them.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Going to have to change his name to Jason Kue-ball after that "shot".
Guest The Second Spitter Guests Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 That was a nice pitch to end the inning...(I got $100 on Mets @2.75 in this)
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Great stuff from Harvey , the CF camera angle is disconcerting to say the least, hard to see those strikes .
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Wow. He cudda had a triple if he wanted to chug it. Nice hitting Matt.
Guest The Second Spitter Guests Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Nice to see SNY not puttin g unrealistic expectations on the kid.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 Oh, yeah, definitely the guy who had to earn the breaks that the good-face guys were given outright. Zimmerman's like that.
