Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Geez guys, the idea here is to keep the tying run from coming to the plate, not to get the lead runner.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Do NOT groove a first pitch to Godzilla!!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 (edited) now we can lose it with one swing.#probablywill Edited June 14, 2012 by Guest
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Ugh! I haven't been paying attention for a few minutes. Things have gotten scary.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Don't want to go all full count here and give the pr/tying run on 1st a running start

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Old days Id say that's a check swing. These days, he went around. No debate.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Win or no win, the bullpen makes me ill.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Which is why you should be reluctant to change pitchers if you don't gotta. You find a pitcher who's getting the job done, ride him like a wild stallion until he throws ya. Using five pitchers to get four innings --- that's ass, right there. One of those guys is going to have his underwear on backwards by pure chance. At least one. It's not because you're a bad manager; it's just demographics.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Just swimming at work these days... which is why I took this job in the first place. Having said that, I forgot they were playing until the 6th and then was getting too lousy a signal on my phone to listen when it finally slowed down.Sweeps are good. Being done with the DH is better. Let's play actual baseball.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 The 'pen more than did its job, collectively, even if they got Laz-squeezed late. Frank Frank himself had about 3 potential called-strike-threes called low.
