And I swear I thought you were making up the home run calls until I got to A-Rod. Then I thought you were making them up again when I got to Granderson. Then I laughed so hard I woke two napping people when I got to the pool picture.

The power and the glory are yours. I can't believe I have to follow this.

Brett Gardner is on the DL, so we won't have to worry about "Gardner plants one!"

And forgive my stats being a couple of days old, I wrote some of this earlier in the week.

This is unacceptable.

It's not like we weren't warned this was coming folks. From the very first entry in the KTE Assignments thread:
FMan: "I would love to take the two Yankee series. I think that's the best vehicle for dick jokes"

Right now, is it better to be a Mets fan or a MFY fan?

Mark Simon left out that no MFY fan could write a series preview as clever as Fman99's entry (above).

jesus, that's such a succint depiction of the douchebaggery that must be necessary to be a yankees fan. it's better to be a yankees fan, because, even if we suck, we can still pretend we're great beacuse of something somebody did back in the fucking 20s. we'll always have our history, so we never have to risk our fragile emotions being run up and down a roller-coaster of a season, or a game, or a lifetime, because, well, we can always take solace in the 26 rings thing. we'll never have to face adversity, as a yankee fan, or there can never be a downside. choose yankees, and hte going is easy. and despite there not being any lows against which to compare hte highs, you can always pretend that the highs could not ever be higher when they do come, because it must be so, as they are the yankees, and the fans deserve it more than any others.

it's a pretty disturbing mentality, imo.

i mean, in a nutshell, isn't yankee fandom the exact same thing hte devil promises you? take the easy path. no suffering, only good times and better times. come, just put on the pinstripes and bow fealty to the interlocking n and y.

I feel like the coulda used Hairnet or Bay to split up some lefties. I fear that Boon Logan will be able to get an easy three outs in there.
