Some Mets numbers heading into their series with the Reds:

All hit, no field Josh Thole's defensive WAR (BRef ver.) is 0.4. Thole leads all Mets in dWAR and ranked in the top 10 among all NL'ers until his current injury caused him to miss enough games to drop him to 11th place.

Daniel Murphy, the accident that can't wait to happen, leads all Mets in games played.

Going into tonight's loss against the Brewers, David Wright's 2012 WAR was 2.0. By comparison, Eddie Kranepool's career WAR (1962-1979) is 2.2.

Yeah, so see you all there. Doing a solo act or may hook up with the hooligans. Let me know if you come by!

Mike Leake appears to have been going to Bronson Arroyo's salon.

Kirk Nieuwenhuis caught stealing on an off-speed pitch, having slid past the bag. Not the most committed of jumps. More like a "might as well" jump.

hit and run? (I sound like Keith)

Howie says he kept his foot on, bad call.

SNY's super-cam disagrees with Howie-- it came off by a visible inch for a split-second.

Speaking of commenter-things-- Keith seemed to be actively trying to jinx Murph during his inning-ending groundout ("He should KILL this guy," "Murph should eat up sinkerball guys like this," etc.).

Devin Mesoraco kinda has a shrunken-Joe-Klecko look to him.

Mike Leake makes like a Rolling Stone in scoring from first on a two-out double. (A decent relay from left JUST fails to get him at the plate.)

"Of COURSE Mike Baxter is frisky on the bases... he grew up running to catch the Q44 and QM16 buses in Whitestone, Queens. Have we mentioned that before? Because he did."

Nice catch from Baxter to save some run-age on the Cozart liner.

Keith remotely, um, expressing his support/admiration to Joey Votto in the on-deck circle is why the SNY broadcast is the best in baseball.

Johan through 6 on 95 pitches, with a little more help from Mike Baxter and Red hitters' windmill-like qualities.

The Met offense? Just through, apparently.

Votto's brainfart deserves, like, 4/5 of Ike's RBI. Still, though... nice.

Are we sure Murphy wasn't going for straight steals of home on both the suicide squeezes, with Cedeno and Nickeas just bailing him out?

If only we could teach Duda to jump. Like, three or four inches, even.

And now we're bringing Carrasco in, to pitch in a one-run game we intend to keep close.

How... unconventional.

"That second run was charged to Carrasco, who in his... tenure as a Met, has accomplished nothing."

-Gary, last half-inning
